The term “heat treatment” refers to a thermal cycle involving heating and maintenance carried out in predetermined conditions and temperatures which must be followed by slow cooling, with the aim of making a metal (usually steel) or a metal alloy assume the typical crystalline structures that give it certain mechanical and/or technological features.

SOFT ANNEALING
Improves mechanical features and prepares the steel for subsequent processing
SPHEROIDIZE ANNEALING
Makes the steel structure plastic and deformable; used for cold stamping and upsetting steels
BRIGHT ANNEALING
Guarantees the total absence of oxide on the surface
STRESS RELIEF ANNEALING
Reduces and eliminates residual stress within materials
